When Bar Mood opened its doors about 50 metres from my apartment, I was amazed how how yet such another upscale lounge bar establishment could open its door s tucked away in such a busy little alley just off Daan Road.It does look dazzling and inviting from the outside, and is a welcome addition to the trendy Daan East Side neighborhood, about 2min walk from Asia Top 50 bar East End.Bar Mood offers the finest crafted drinks, courtesy of their expert bartending staff, cozy ambience, and atmospheric lighting and decor.They serve G&Ts in the standing bar in front, and offer a delectable full cocktail menu and food menu in the back room. I was very impressed with the friendly reception from staff you as soon as you enter, without a hint of pretense you might find at similar establishments in Taipei's often snooty and highly competitive upscale bar industry.Favorites to look out for is their G&T's (they make their own quinine to superior tonic water and truly unique and lush coctails making best use of the freshest produce and top shelf spirits money can buy, and often with a uniquely Asian twist.Bar Mood can get busy at times, especially during weekends, however is quite tranquil and laidback during the week, perfect for a romantic rendezvouz with your partner.
