Well done from Taiwan Nights to local superclub OMNI (previously Luxy), who was presented with a coveted IF Design Award for Interior Architecture this week for their amazing recent renovations .

This award, dubbed the "Design Oscar" by industry experts,  puts Taiwan firmly on the international design map and co-incides perfectly with Taipei being the  World Design Capital for 2016Anyone who's visited the nightlife venue since it reopened will quickly understand why the popular Taipei nightclub has recently won so many top design awards - it 's an audio-visual  feast for the senses ( if you're in your 20s!)  and simply looks amazing, with a dazzling array of walled video screens, curved displays and LED features that have not  been seen in Taiwan before.

The iF Product Design Award was introduced in 1954 and is annually handed out  by the iF International Forum Design. Every year the iF attracts more than 2,000 product entries from around 37 nations, which are judged by renowned experts, and the best entries  receive an iF seal of outstanding design quality. The Best of the Best are awarded with an iF gold award, known as the "Design Oscar".

The Client / Manufacturer was the LOOP Inc and the agency involved was the highly regarded Taipei-based  E-tai Space Design Office.  More than 12 months was spent on development at a cost of several millions of NTD.

A central piece of the club's new appearance is its unique  lighting and this is also approach can also be seen from their official IF Design Award competition page:

Each point of light attacks your pulse. It seems to be born from the galaxy's source of life. Lighting is necessary for human living – and ever lasting.It approaches empty, solid, non-dense, dense, far and also close. In the human's mind, the light goes through the whole space, in the screen, in the cube structure.It illuminates the space structure within all the substance.
